It can be done by doing the following registry changes:. It is like it says the device is not there, but as said, if I boot on my alternate partition which is in XP, everything is working fine. You are the men. I tried upgrading to windows 7 and the sound doesn't work it shows the sound as High Definition audio device but shows problem running it.
